We arrived in Amsterdam this morning, unpacked the bikes, then slept for a few hours on our daughters couch then headed to our hotel nearby. We then had a short ride (9kms each way - no helmets!!) to a restaurant called 'Worst Wijn Cafe' where we were able to interact with the chef, eat the wonderful food and to have a chat with the owner about places in the Netherlands we need to visit on our bikes. We left there at about 9:30pm while it was still light as we did not have any bike lights. It was a nice warm up for the trip. We rode through Vondelpark there and back which is always lovely.
